Note From TMD: (These books will vary in taking place in different points of view other than just first-person.)

Anion woke up to startle as he had just woken up from a nightmare of The Great Destroyer they had faced earlier that day. Nad was awake the whole night. He looked at Anion and smiled.

“Don’t worry. I can tell you had a nightmare about the events that unfolded today. Thankfully, we could take out TheGreat Destroyer and save The Village Ten from total corruption.”

“You are too good at understanding facial expressions Nad. It’s one of the many reasons, why you are such a great friend.” Anion smiled and reassured Nad that he is there for him.

The two went to sleep after great trouble earlier and thought much of what possibly could happen tomorrow.

As Nad and Anion woke up, they realized that Ish was missing!

“No! We just beat The Great Destroyer yesterday, and now we’re having missing friends?” Anion shouts.

“Don’t stress about it Anion. I know for a fact that Ish will return.” Nad says as he comforts a worried Anion.

Nee flew out of the village atop the phoenix. Wait, what? How’d that happen? Let’s take a quick rewind back to where we left off during the last part.

I give up on wanting to be a hero and I go back home fuming with deep anger. As I sleep that night, the stars shine on me and I see none other than!

‘The Phoenix’

The Phoenix calls to Nee. He could feel it wanting to make him come.

He lunges atop The Majestic Phoenix and feels the wind’s power push through his arms.

“This is truly a great feeling. Thank you for giving such a wonderful experience. Why me of all people?” Nee asks the phoenix.

The Phoenix responds.

“You saved me yesterday. I truly cannot thank you enough. But that’s not the important reason. There’s something special in you. I think that you can overcome The Cliff of Endings.”

“First of all, you can talk? And second, there is absolutely no potential in me. I’ve given up on thinking that. Third, how in the world can I survive The Cliff of Endings! Even that name is intimidating.” Nee responds rudely.

“True heroes never give up hope. You haven’t given up yet, and I can sense it. The Power of The Phoenix is unmatched. Listen to me.”

“Fine.” He sighs.

The Phoenix brings Nee to the cliff.

Nee lunges off The Phoenix to the dangerous fifteen-inch cliffside.

‘This looks extremely dangerous.’ Nee thinks to himself as he puts a thumbs up in front of The Phoenix.

The Phoenix quietly watches as Nee stealthily easily makes it through various traps.

“You are doing good. But not great. Faster. Do it faster with more agility.”

Nee jumps to one of the sticks above a cavern filled to the brim with lava. As he lunges from stick to stick, they burn behind him. He sees the end. A glowing crystal attracts him to finish. He sighs and speedruns the last stretch from parkouring on stones, to backflipping over trolls.

“I s-see the crystal!” He says tired as ever.

He catches his breath and runs over to the crystal.

As Nee catches the crystal, The Phoenix grins.

“Everything in this cliff is meant for the endings of the adventurer. You’ve overcome almost all of it. There is a trap beneath you.”

“Oh no,” Nee says as he tries to catch his breath once again.

The stone starts to crumble and Nee quickly sees his impending doom of 800 feet below him.

“He-help me!” Nee shouts scared of the fall.

“I told you. I won’t be helping you today. You must do it yourself and make it to the end.”

Nee grins and looks down. He parkours from side to side, from tree to tree, and makes his way down to the bottom.

“What’s next?” He asks looking for air to breathe with.

The Phoenix brings Nee atop him and flies to a portal.

“What’s this?” Nee says.

“A portal to The Underworld.”

“N-no I am not going there ever. That place is wicked and filled with evil.” Nee tells The Phoenix shivering.

“You must. I will guide you. We must find The Great Destroyer and stop his evil plan.”

“Evil plan? Underworld? The Great Destroyer! Should I be listening to The Phoenix?” Nee mumbles.

Nee thinks for a minute and nods.

“Bring me in…”

Part 2 ½

Nee coughs after being transported to the realm. He notices the crystal is gone.

“Where’s the crystal?” Nee asks The Phoenix.

“Inside you. Like I will be now.”

“Wh-what. Why will you be inside me?”

“Because I must travel with you, but I will grow weak in my full form. My powers are now what you can harness. I will be like an assistant that can talk to you, inside of you.”

The Phoenix disappears.

“What, where’d you go?”

“I’m inside of you.” The Phoenix reassures Nee.

Nee walks forward, and the green grass swiftly becomes dark corrupted stone as dark and gloomy as the great evil that resides in these parts.

Cackles fill the air with no ceiling found, but bits of lava falling from nowhere above.

“This place sure is scary. Man.” Nee says quietly.

Suddenly… The lava stops. Even more, darkness fills the air. The cackles die out. The dark fog leaves. Lights come back. Nee finds himself in front of a Corrupted Castle remake even bigger than the first.

“How am I of all people supposed to take on guards in the biggest castle and the whole entirety of The Underworld alone!” Nee screams.

The Phoenix doesn’t respond. Three people from the shadows walk towards Nee.

“You are not alone. But I can’t say that this will be much easier. We’ve been at this for years.” One person says.

“Come with us.” Another tells Nee.

Nee follows them and keeps quiet remembering what happened just yesterday.

“You can’t really tell time here in The Underworld. But don’t think about that, and let me know, what’s your name?” The last person says.

“My name’s Nee. What’s all of yours?”

“Mine’s Henry and those guys are Lewmar and Trel.”

Nee doesn’t respond but smiles. The four walk away from the castle.

“One thing. Why are we walking away from the castle?” Nee asks them.

Lewmar responds, “Because we must recoup and get back to base before any evil sees us. It’s gonna take a while till we can make it to The Great Destroyer’s Castle.”

They continue to walk.

“That’s our base over there.” Trel points to a hidden hut small enough to squeeze in fifteen people with no breathing room.

“I guess this will do,” Nee says.

Nee looks around the abandoned hut and sees something that piques his interest.

“Hey, uh, what’s this?” Nee asks Henry.

“Oh, heh heh. That’s a broken up water-bottle.” Henry laughs.

“Oh. That looks nothing like a water-bottle.” Nee tries to converse, fake laughing.

Trel was about to say something but she couldn’t. The ground shook.

“Woah-wha-what’s that?” Nee coughs.

A dark face covers the land.

“Me…” A raspy dark voice says.

TO BE CONTINUED…

Precap: Nee harnesses the power inside him, and ventures off with Henry, Lewmar, and Trel in the search of The Corrupted Dessert. Scorched to all ends, boxing the four in, Nee must use his newly-found power to help them get out. Next time on The Power of The Phoenix, only on MLEGENDS HOME...
