Land of Light: Episode 2

“It sure held up the name, where do we get our powers?” asked Deryan.

“I’m certain it’s this creepy-looking entrance thingy,” Ayden added. We entered the creepy room and all we saw was a sign, it said, ‘You thought this was the land of light. Man, this is Snerty’s backyard. You’re in my treehouse. Get pranked, and please leave, or else I will call the cops.’

“Really, this was a prank…” I said in disgust.

“I know, I don’t know why Snerty would do this,” Frawder added. We left the treehouse and started to follow our dreams. At least, we were hoping the sign would say something useful. I mean, I hope this works. Knowing Snerty, this is probably another prank.

“Guys, this might be another prank,” Deryan said.

“WE KNOW!” Everyone responded. We kept on strolling along the narrow highway and met an old monk on the sidewalk.

“Hello, please sit down and talk to me, I will give you advice on finding the Land of Light. You do want to go there right?” The monk told everyone.

“Yes sir, do you have advice we should follow?” Deryan asked.

“You have reached the beginning of your journey, you will need loyalty for the Land of Light,” The monk replied.

“Well, I have a lot of loyalty for the Land of Light, it was my dream to go there my entire life,” I told the monk. The monk nodded and took out a rusty bowl.

“Don’t touch anything, it’s ancient,” The monk said.

“Ok! Ok! You don’t have to be so pushy Mr. Ancient!” Deryan whispered.

“Whatever, so pour this water into this bowl and see what happens,” The monk told Ayden. Ayden poured the water into the bowl and nobody believed what happened.

“You were Snerty this whole time?” Deryan asked.

“Yes, and now I know that you are going to the Land of Light. Race you there!” Snerty screamed while running as fast as he could.

“But you were the most human-like this whole time!” I said.

“Snerty - Human, NONO, ” Frawder responded. We kept on walking, ashamed because we thought a monk was Snerty.

“I guess, we just follow our dreams, “ Ayden said.

We kept on walking and saw a beacon shining brightly into the sky.

“Woah, what is that, looks like someone put it there for a reason,” Deryan said. We walked up to a person and asked them a question.

“Do you see that beacon over there?” Ayden asked a person on the highway.

“No, I don’t, “ She responded. We all knew what this meant.

“This is our call to the Land of Light. Man, follow that beacon!” Deryan screamed.

We all ran, then speed-walked to the Land Of Light because we don’t have huge stamina.

Finally getting there we all took a deep breath we touched the beacon. It immediately showed a path,

“Go! Go!” Deryan said.

We all rushed to the pathway, but it had a sign at the end of it. It said,

“Meet me at 1981 Starway Avenue, for a surprise about your journey you have been called for, “ the sign read.

We all looked to see where that was on geggle maps. It was in the giggle lands. We heard about the Giggle Lands, anyone who went in sometimes came back. Just disproportionate.

We all held the button on the beacon. We all shivered at the sight, as we went in looking around vines surrounding the mossy path. All of a sudden the vines lunged grabbing us by the waist and hoisting us in the air. Sandet fought back and managed to defeat one.

“His strength is awesome,'' I thought, looking as he bashed up the other vines saving all of us.

“Thanks, Man!” Lewon said.

“Anytime,” He grunted as we kept walking.

“I still can’t believe it was vines, instead of a spider or something. We saw something not many people see,” I told everyone.

Now seeing the strength of Sandet made the vines bow.

“Nice!!” Deryan said, looking as the vines became still. We went outside the vine forest and entered a hidden passageway under a train tunnel.

“I think if we keep going left, we can find the address,” Deryan said. They kept heading to their left and saw another sign that read,

“Meet me down in the basement, I’m waiting for you there,” the sign read.

“I feel like this man is pennywise now,” Deryan exclaimed. We went downstairs and saw another sign, it read,

‘Go away, you don’t need anything here for your journey’

“What! He’s a scam artist making us go 2 miles just for this!” Ayden said.

“The vines also made my muscles hurt. Don’t blame me, they fought back!” Sandet replied in agony. We kept on with our day in disgust that we got scammed. I mean we are the coolest kids in our school.

“Hey, watch out!” I screamed. We were running into the sidewalk when a black van almost bashed us into the geggle bakery.

“That car was about 4 inches to almost hitting us. I mean who wants us dead that much that they would ruin the geggle bakery to kill us,” Frawder exclaimed. I started to remember something important. The golden thieves…

“Guys, I think that was the golden thieves. They have always wanted to go to the Land of Light so they might’ve heard the news that we were trying to find it. I think they wanted info,” I told everyone.

Everyone agreed and pondered about it a little more.

“Did you see what they had in the back seat? I could barely see through the tainted windows, but I think they have a dangerous weapon,” Lewon said scaredly.

“What did they have?” Frawder asked.

“They had the water generator. You know from the royal geggle palace in Shutterville. Actually better enough, it’s down this block and to the right.” Lewon responded. They walked toward the corner of the block when they stopped for the walk sign to appear on the sign.

“Why is this taking so long, I mean, it’s not like we have all the time in the world,” Ayden said in disgust. They waited a few more minutes and later, the sign finally changed. They could cross the street.

“Took a lot longer than you would expect,” I told everyone.

“I know right, I mean that took longer than my snail walking across his cage, “ Frawder responded. We turned the corner to the right and then saw the royal palace. It looked magnificent.

We went to the front entrance and were denied at first. We replied saying,

“We are here to find the ancient discovery, the Land of Light,” Lewon responded. The guards let us in since we were here to do important research.

Meanwhile, Snerty was climbing a snowy mountain wearing underpants and an MLEGENDS hoodie.

We entered the geggle palace and it looked like I assumed it would. Lanterns along the narrow hallways, doors in every single direction you would ever possibly go, and finally, the king and queen.

“May we come in peace, sir,” I told the king.

“Thanks. I have heard from the entrance guards that you guys have been on the search for the Land of Light.” The kind responded.

“No, actually we lied. We have great evidence to tell the entire geggle kingdom. The water generator has been stolen by the golden thieves! We have no water left sir,” Frawder said.

“Oh man,” I whispered to see the vines along with the golden thieves running toward us.
