A “Hiro’s” Intro
Vix, Gordie, and Hiro lived in a small shack near Rogorne Town. Vix was the oldest of the three. He was a skilled warrior and everything seemed to come easily to him. Gordie was just a little younger than Vix, and he was starting to become a smart mastermind. With two older brothers, Hiro was often left out. She had trained to become as good, as fast, and as powerful as them, but just couldn’t seem to do it.
The Beginning:
Vix and Gordie were out hunting, as usual, whilst Hiro was at home with their dad, Lan.
“Is this a good catch?”-Gordie asked his always straight-faced brother.
“You should know that by now Gordie. The real moral of catching these fish is to feed the bears that have invaded the town.”-Vix greatly stated.
“Do not get too ahead of yourself brother. Just because you are the oldest and most wise, does not mean you know everything.”-Gordie replied proudly.
“Whatever. Do not talk like that to me again. Or you will regret it.”-Vix threatened with an angry look on his face.
Hiro trekked up the hill slowly regretting each inattentive step she took. She looked back behind her and remembered the day she had lost her voice for good.
‘Gordie! Let’s take a trek for 450 miles. I believe I am old enough to go along with you, brother! I know Vix wouldn’t agree, so I asked you.’-Hiro asked wholeheartedly.
‘Sure. But be careful. DO NOT tell anybody we are starting this trek. I’ll just tell them that we are going to the faraway village.’-Gordie replied with not much hope baked in to his soft words.
Hiro had wished that Gordie would let her inform Vix and her father. But she had been denied to do as said.
Lan had caught sight of Hiro and Gordie leaving, and gawked at them for a second, before going to ask them where they had been going.
‘Hiro. Gordie. Where are you going without Vix, or me?’-Lan stated in a voice which told Hiro and Gordie that he was suspicious.
‘We are going to the distant village to get some medicine for Gordie.’-Hiro nervously stated.
Hiro had felt very badly about lying to her father for this big of a matter. But it was necessary to do what she had dreamed about for many years before.
The burning flames of the wildfire struck the distant village.
When Lan had learned of this news, he was shaken.
‘No. They have to be okay. I will travel far to find out. Both of them have to be alive.’-Lan.
Hiro and Gordie are present at the village burning as well.
Gordie wakes up to see his younger sister about to be engulfed in the flames.
‘Hiro! I’ll save you!”-Gordie shouted at the top of his breath.
But he could not save her with no harm.
She had lost her voice. But it wasn’t the only of the new disabilities she had.
Now she couldn’t hold a sword, or walk much. This was saddening and all, but she had eventually learned to embrace it.
But what happened next?
Find out Thursday, November 12th. If you are reading this on the day it was published, it will be out in two days.
