The Journey Begins?

Hiro snaps out of the past and continues her trek up the mountain.

Gordie sneaks behind her along with Vix.

“Going somewhere?”-Gordie asks.

Hiro nods her head.

“Yes, that’s what I thought.”-He replies.

“Well, we found something. If you would like to come with us, that would be for the best.”-Vix mumbles.

The earth shakes.

“Whoo. Must be the portal. Come with us back home. It’s not too safe on top of a mountain with that portal nearby.”-Gordie

Hiro follows them as they reach their house.

The wind and snow-fall is unsustainable for humans to handle.

They arrive near the cold ice-blue river filled with frightened fish trying to swim upstream.

“Yeah. Those fish must be pretty scared that the ice is covering the river.”-Gordie notices.

“Let’s keep on moving. No need to get distracted by some marine animal.”-Vix grunts.

“Well, I’ll be. It’s like you don’t have feelings these days.”-Gordie responds with anger in his straight-forward words pushed into a line.

Vix gives Gordie a deadly cold stare that lights up in the moonlight.

“Don’t even try.”-He says with a dead-serious face.

Gordie, Vix, and Hiro approach the busted house with cobwebs and dust covering all edges. Even insects are now scared to go near this house.

The door creaks open as the lights reveal themselves and the chandelier shakes crookedly. The door slams closed while bits of the floor jump up and back down.

“Home. Not how we left it, eh?”-Gordie shouts out.

Vix walks toward a piece of paper documenting a map and list of items to travel to an unknown realm.

“What is this?”-Vix loudly whispers.

Gordie approaches the paper and carefully reads it.

“It’s some kind of recipe list to travel to another world. It also contains a map in this world?”-Gordie explains.

“Maybe this was meant for us. That portal can lead us to this world. We must follow the directions carefully, so we can go to this dimension.”-Vix states.

Hiro picks up the paper and runs to the portal. Vix and Gordie follow her to the portal.

The portal was already set to the dimension, therefore not needing the recipe to go through.

“The portal is already set! Let’s go there.”-Gordie exclaims.

“Not yet Gordie. We cannot be foolish and go through now. It could be very risky and too dangerous. We need to keep calm.”-Vix explains to Gordie.

Gordie sighs and sits down on the floor. He watches as the sun rises in what just was a pitch-black night sky.

The portal shakes. A landscape of vast cities and mountains pop in.

“Now can we go?”-Gordie asks as he awes in the amazing sight of the other world.

Vix says nothing.

“I’m pretty sure that means yes.”-Gordie comments.

Hiro, Gordie, and Vix enter the portal realizing that this may have been a big mistake...
