Burning Water: Stories of the Elements Chapters 1 & 2

I know I'm kind of new to this site, but I do have a story in mind for you guys! I've been writing this quite a bit, so I hope you enjoy! :) Keep reading books, everyone!

BURNING WATER: STORIES OF THE ELEMENTS

Chapter 1: Water

Splish! Splash! Leaping from tree to tree, Water pursued her enemy. She moved quite gracefully, but still used her ninja skills to get to the unknown foe.

Water was a young Element. Elements were the many, many different beings that composed the ancient world - but they did have embodied forms. Water was a sleek Element, and, as her name suggests, she was entirely flowing water. She was a beautiful aquamarine blue that glowed like shimmering stars in the night sky. Water had been training her ninja skills for quite some time now, for they proved useful in battles like this. However, her cowardly opponent continued to dash forward.

Water knew that this enemy stood no chance whatsoever. She was too fast, and continued to leap from tree to tree, getting closer and closer to the foe.

“Where are you going?!” she yelled, infuriated.

The target continued running quietly, dragging a bag along with them. Water could hear them breathing heavily, so they must have been worn down, she figured.

Finally, Water leaped onto her enemy - and found something interesting.

Chapter 2: Fire

Fire.

Fire was Water’s cousin, twice removed. He, of course, was a bright red-and-orange flame that burnt anything in his path. He was staying at Water’s house for the night. He threw Water off of him and clambered up.

“No wonder there was ash along your path,” Water whispered. “What were you doing with those poor Woods?”

Fire looked inside of the bag he was holding. A few small Elements that resembled sticks climbed out, squeaking and running to their homes in the forested area around the two.

“Hey, I just wanted to help you train,” Fire said, rubbing his head. “I thought taking a few Woods would be a good mission.”

“That’s very thoughtful of you, Fire, but I’ve had enough training for right now. I’ve been practicing ninjutsu, like, hours a day! Plus, stealing Woods from their homes is not very smart! A Nature could come over and pound us into the ground!” Water motioned her head toward the dark forest behind them.

“Water…I think we have a minor issue…” Fire looked behind her, and something big was approaching.

A tree-like figure stumbled toward them. A Nature.
